Hello, my name is Jacob. Welcome to the first blog post of my first website. I'm a Texas native, born and raised in Houston. I went on to join the military and ended up becoming a pilot, mainly flying the A-10 for the U.S. Air Force. After 12 years, I decided I was ready for something new. I landed on possibly one of the most ridiculous propositions ever - attempting a solo, non-stop ocean row from North America to Australia. The boat is currently under design, and I'm aiming for a Summer 2016 departure. I'm obviously new at this, as you'll notice from the simplicity of the website. However, I plan to make this a place where readers will get a full understanding of everything involved in attempting such an adventure. Look out for updates - I'll have much more to follow.
